Emily Recognised with Prestigious ACC Letters
Congratulations to Emily, who has been awarded ACC Letters for Cross Country — the highest individual honour awarded by the ACC upon athletes selected in the ACC Representative Cross Country Team for three years.
Emily is an exceptional athlete whose commitment, perseverance and humility has established her as one of the most accomplished female runners in Guildford Grammar School’s history, and we are incredibly proud of this well-deserved recognition.
In 2025, Emily was awarded the Strelitz Trophy as 1500m Champion, the Day Cup Under 17 Champion Athlete and the Barrett-Leonard Trophy as Senior Cross Country Champion. She previously won the O’Malley Trophy as Junior Cross Country Champion in 2022 and 2023, as well as the Whiteman Trophy for Short Course Cross Country Champion in 2021 and 2023. Her name is also firmly embedded in GGS sporting history through the Chapel Gift, which she has won three times (2022, 2023, 2025 and 2026) and for which she holds the race record.
At the 2026 Chapel Gift, Emily (12SG) etched her name even further into the record books, crossing the line in an outstanding 1:26.63 to break her previous race record. In doing so, she secured an extraordinary fourth Chapel Gift title — a remarkable achievement in the history of the event and one that will stand as a defining moment of her GGS sporting career. Emily is now the only student in the history of the Chapel Gift to win the event four times, cementing her place among the School’s most outstanding runners.
Respected as much for her character as her success, Emily consistently demonstrates humility, resilience, sportsmanship and a willingness to support others. She is a worthy recipient of the ACC Letter, the highest individual honor awarded by the ACC.
