All Schools State Championships: Rowing Girls Show Their Grit

Recently our Rowing program competed at the 2026 All Schools State Championships, with crews and scullers taking on some of the best school rowers from across the state.

It was a challenging day on the water, with gale-force winds and constantly changing weather conditions testing our rowers from the very first race. Crews battled through rain, sun, hail, thunder and everything in between. At times, our rowers found themselves less like rowers and more like surfers, navigating the waves and unpredictable conditions. Despite the challenging environment, our girls showed tremendous grit, resilience and determination, continuing to race hard and support one another both on and off the water.

• 5th – Emily, Year 10 Single Scull

These results are a fantastic reflection of the hard work, commitment and perseverance shown throughout the season. More importantly, the way our rowers responded to the challenging conditions demonstrated the character and culture of the program.

Congratulations to all of our rowers, coxswains and coaches on an outstanding day of racing. We are incredibly proud of the way you represented the school and showed grit on and off the water — whatever the weather brought!
